July 15th, 2018 - Hi everyone! It's been a few days since the initial beta release and well, there's been a few patches to the beta over just the weekend. Biggest thing would be a fully implemented ticketing system for reporting bugs, submitting enhancement requests, and creating a support request. With all the issues we've been seeing lately regarding people not receiving our emails, this was a huge priority to ensure a stable means of communication. Please download this latest update from the following link: http://www.2logicalsolutions.biz/installers/SerialSafe_220.127.116.11.msi
Regarding the ticketing system, you'll want to create an account which will eventually be tied into your forum login - when implemented. I hope the screenshots below, along with captions, will explain the process you'll want to follow for creating your account and logging in. Once your logged into your account, you'll be able to review your tickets and post updates.
I'll get the next steps outlines on the Future Roadmap page for quick access so you know what our next steps will be, barring any items reported. If you see something you're wanting on the roadmap but you have an immediate need for that to be put in, please create an enhancement request so we can talk directly with you on how you're wanting it to function. This dialog will let us confirm the feature exists on the roadmap and will let us work with you on validating it specifically.
I'll also work on updating the About the Developer page to get you all background on what happened that things ended up taking much longer than expected for both release and updates of the beta. I believe this should answer most of the questions that were asked, as well as clear up ones that may only have been thought and not said. Things here will be updated after the future roadmap.
I think that's everything I have regarding an actual update, so please feel free to reach out!
July 12th, 2018 - Hey everyone! I'm just around an hour late but there was some additional testing I wanted to do with the installer to make sure things worked for release. I've confirmed that the settings for updater properly work with the installer type we're building, my initial tests were with an .exe but we're building an .msi and it was causing issues with the process. I've since updated this and have the installer up for testing! At the moment, licensing works but there are no restrictions, so you're good to download this installer without needing to input a license code. My next goal is to spend the next two days putting together everything remaining to update the website to properly reflect and begin putting together release notes for when we're ready with an official release. I have a lot of down-the-road actions in mind, but know we need to focus on things as they are before adding a ton of bells and whistles.
Please use the link below to download the installer and reach out to us any way you can with feedback, be it bugs reports or enhancement requests. Please note that most settings are not implemented but will save, but if there is something that you use more frequently that needs to be a priority, please let us know and I'll get it done sooner than later for a new build.
Please note that we do not have a database upgrade utility as of yet since this is not an official release. If you have any problems installing or using the tool, please reach out so these items can be addressed - especially if you feel that it's critical. At the current phase, there are no problems too small to not report. Thank you.

I'll have an update for this weekend with everything remaining and begin the explanation as to the cause of all delays since we picked up SerialSafe. Thank you for the support!
July 11th, 2018 - Hi all! Hopefully this is the last post before the beta is out; I've had some issues for the past week attempting to get a web-service setup with the service provider after using one local during development for validation that was causing delays. The final action I need to do before uploading the beta for public testing is validating the integrity of the build for install to make sure the obfuscation settings work properly. I don't have anything scheduled after work aside from SerialSafe so my target latest time is to have this installer up and a post made by 10PM Eastern (22:00 EDT, July 12th).
We have some nice background functionalities implemented, so release notes are going to be lengthy, but I'm hoping they encompass some of the expectations people had regarding previous requests when we initially took over. Here are some current high-level major changes:
I'm really looking forward to getting the beta out to aim at finalizing for an official release and focus more on the back-end to get things updated to increase our ability to interact with the community. I'll go back through our emails to start putting together a list of emails but please reach out if you'd like to be a part of it.
Thanks again, everyone!
July 1st, 2018 - Hi there everyone! Some good strides were made this past month. I've implemented an online login system that we're planning on using to tie into the forum idea that's being tossed around. If it falls through, we'll scrap it, but for now it's at least in the works. I've finalized that last remaining bits of core functionality for SerialSafe as far as I can tell, without full load testing, and think I have installers being built. The next major item for us to address before rolling things out for beta is securing the data and ensuring a means of identifying and relocating the master database while still persisting things. This will likely end up storing a registry value local to see where the application is to look for the SerialSafe session as well as track a collaborative option that will allow multiple machines to connect to the database at once. I aim to have these items complete this week for an official announcement in the latter half. Once we have things out for a small sampling, we hope to implement the last remaining critical items as well as resolve as many bugs that arise as we can.
I've also noticed that I failed to follow up on the Version Management dialog, so please find a screenshot below of the form design I ended up moving forward this. It doesn't follow the same theme as the rest of SerialSafe, so this may change in the future, but for functionality, this was the best option for the time being.
Thank you everyone for your patience while we work through this rewrite. Once we have this out I'll be more than happy to provide a detailed explanation as to the problem/cause of delay and how I aim to resolve things. Again, thank you all for your support and feedback, I greatly appreciate it!
