July 29th, 2018 - Hey Everyone, I've put in a ton of stuff for this next build and am wrapping up with the import feature before pushing it out. The import will support .CSV, .TXT, .XLS, .XLSX, .SSDB, and .VDB5 (new format), but this update will only fully be implemented for the last two (.SSDB and .VDB5) so you can import a database file from the previous major release and merge any databases with the current version. I don't think the second would be used any time soon, but it allowed me to think through the process and support a what-if scenario that will likely come up as an enhancement down the line.
Off the top of my head, I don't recall everything else we have in for the next update, but it was a lot of proper setting support; look forward to the full patch notes to detail each item!
To give everyone a heads up, I don't plan on making any improvements over the upcoming weekend as I'll be out of town on vacation; making my priority to get things out prior to then or at least during travel. You'll hear back regardless by the second as I'll want to let you know what's going on if I don't have the update out before then. I'll do my best to get the update out ASAP, just need to wrap my head around bringing in the embedded items for import. Until then, thank you all for your input and support!
July 17th, 2018 - Hey everyone! A user let us know that there was an issue with moving the database file, even accessing the feature, so I looked into it and believe we were able to address the underside of what was going on. There were some other enhancements, but this was the major bug fix for this release. Those minor enhancements were implementing product lock,
To automatically update to the latest development builds (beta releases) while we're in this phase (and down the line too), please go into your settings and enable the options for Check for update on startup and Allow check for development builds. With these enabled for when SerialSafe launches, it'll check the server to see if there are any new builds to install. When there are new releases, you'll be able to review the patch notes for that specific build, that way you know what all's different between the releases. Right now we only have things setup to display the notes related to the version downloaded but plan on adding in all notes since the previous official release once it's more realistic.
For those looking for a manual download of 220.127.116.11, please use: http://www.2logicalsolutions.com/installers/SerialSafe_18.104.22.168.msi
Next thing I want to make sure is clear is that we updated the icon associated with going to your Account Management screen! It was a minor change, but it should make things more fluid instead of the previous mess that things were.
That should be everything, please reach out again if you see any other critical items you want us to focus on. Otherwise, we'll lean towards the order that the list on the roadmap. As always, thank you so much for your help!
July 15th, 2018 - Hi everyone! It's been a few days since the initial beta release and well, there's been a few patches to the beta over just the weekend. Biggest thing would be a fully implemented ticketing system for reporting bugs, submitting enhancement requests, and creating a support request. With all the issues we've been seeing lately regarding people not receiving our emails, this was a huge priority to ensure a stable means of communication. Please download this latest update from the following link: http://www.2logicalsolutions.biz/installers/SerialSafe_22.214.171.124.msi
Regarding the ticketing system, you'll want to create an account which will eventually be tied into your forum login - when implemented. I hope the screenshots below, along with captions, will explain the process you'll want to follow for creating your account and logging in. Once your logged into your account, you'll be able to review your tickets and post updates.
I'll get the next steps outlines on the Future Roadmap page for quick access so you know what our next steps will be, barring any items reported. If you see something you're wanting on the roadmap but you have an immediate need for that to be put in, please create an enhancement request so we can talk directly with you on how you're wanting it to function. This dialog will let us confirm the feature exists on the roadmap and will let us work with you on validating it specifically.
I'll also work on updating the About the Developer page to get you all background on what happened that things ended up taking much longer than expected for both release and updates of the beta. I believe this should answer most of the questions that were asked, as well as clear up ones that may only have been thought and not said. Things here will be updated after the future roadmap.
I think that's everything I have regarding an actual update, so please feel free to reach out!
July 12th, 2018 - Hey everyone! I'm just around an hour late but there was some additional testing I wanted to do with the installer to make sure things worked for release. I've confirmed that the settings for updater properly work with the installer type we're building, my initial tests were with an .exe but we're building an .msi and it was causing issues with the process. I've since updated this and have the installer up for testing! At the moment, licensing works but there are no restrictions, so you're good to download this installer without needing to input a license code. My next goal is to spend the next two days putting together everything remaining to update the website to properly reflect and begin putting together release notes for when we're ready with an official release. I have a lot of down-the-road actions in mind, but know we need to focus on things as they are before adding a ton of bells and whistles.
Please use the link below to download the installer and reach out to us any way you can with feedback, be it bugs reports or enhancement requests. Please note that most settings are not implemented but will save, but if there is something that you use more frequently that needs to be a priority, please let us know and I'll get it done sooner than later for a new build.
Please note that we do not have a database upgrade utility as of yet since this is not an official release. If you have any problems installing or using the tool, please reach out so these items can be addressed - especially if you feel that it's critical. At the current phase, there are no problems too small to not report. Thank you.

I'll have an update for this weekend with everything remaining and begin the explanation as to the cause of all delays since we picked up SerialSafe. Thank you for the support!
